Gun Men Kidnap Rivers Lawmaker

Gun men yesterday kidnapped a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly Hon. Chioma Golden in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital.

The kidnap took place at Emenike Street where he was reportedly supervising one of his buildings under construction. The kidnap took place at about 8pm few hours before the Brazil vs Germany semi finals encounter.

Details regarding the kidnap are yet to unfold but sources said the kidnappers came in a Toyata Camry car with three gun men and the driver. The source who spoke to us does not want to be named but said they had thought the kidnappers were members of the Police Force only to realise that they were kidnappers.

He said they made calls to the Police who said they had mobilized their men on the matter.

Hon. Chioma Golden represents Etche Constituency and is a member of the Amaechi faction in the House.
