The Niger Delta Renaissance Organisation has accused Presidential hopefuls of the opposition All Peoples Congress of
masterminding the Kaduna bomb blast that attempted to take the life of the of
Gen. Muhammed Buhari. The group said the APC which is known to be sympathetic
to terrorism in the country instigated the attack and also wanted to use it to
blackmail the Presidency and also score cheap political scores all in its evil
bid to win sympathy ahead of the 2015 polls.
In a press statement made available to newsmen and signed by
its national coordinator Comrade Nwokoma Messiah, the group said the ruling People’s
Democratic Party PDP has never been afraid of Buhari in any way and wouldn’t
have done anything to snuff out his life but the APC as well as its
Presidential hopefuls, have become afraid of Buhari’s emergence as its
presidential flag bearer something they never wanted to give him from the inception
of the party in the word go. The statement said that being aware of the fact
that rejecting Buhari during its primaries will not go down well with him, the
party as well as its presidential hopefuls felt the best way to get rid of him
was to assassinate him and put the blame on the Goodluck Jonathan led Federal Government.
The group said it was unfortunate that the APC will come out
through its National Publicity Secretary Lai Mohammed who is a serial liar to
call on Mr. President to unveil the people behind the attempted assassination
of Buhari when it is aware of those behind it.
The Niger Delta Renaissance Organisation also accused the
APC of trying to blackmail the presidency in order to gain sympathy from
Nigerians warning them that the presidency as an institution must be respected
no matter their evil quest for power. The group said what the APC is doing is
inimical to the growth of Nigerian democracy and must be condemned by all well
meaning Nigerians. ‘’the evil propaganda of the APC must be condemned and the
security agents must act fast to stop this grand conspiracy of the APC which we
believe is treasonable in the first instance” the statement added.
