Monkey Pox Panic Sends Pupils Out of Schools In Rivers State

The rumoured panic over the monkey pox outbreak has sent pupils in Rivers state on the run in Port Harcourt as men dressed in Military uniforms are said to be immunising pupils across the state.

The pandemonium which was a replica of the one that happened across the south eastern states is as a result of the rumour that the vaccines was designed to spread the monkey pox across southern states.

It is also reported that the same situation occurred in Ondo state.

The Nigerian military has severally denied the rumour but the Rivers State government has not issued any statement as at the time of filing this report.
