Group Accuses Hon. Kareto of Defective Representation

The Borno Peoples Movement  BPM a socio cultural group in Borno State has accused the member representing Kukuwa/Mobar/ Abadam/Guzamalai Federal constituency of defective representation. The group called on the member to forget about 2019 if he continues with the style of representation he is currently showing.
The group made their position known in a press statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary Shehu Abba. Mr. Abba said it is regrettable that despite the sufferings the people faced to elect Mallam Bukar Gana into office, he has failed to show anything in form of dividends of democracy  to the people.

The  statement accused the member of complete abandonment in various ways. They called on Hon. Bukar Gana to show what he has done especially in terms of constituency projects and empowerment of the youths.

''We are tired of this kind of representation by Mallam Bukar Gana. If he fails to change his style, he should just kiss goodbye to 2019 because we will mobilise against him... imagine our numerous youths roaming about jobless while they enjoy themselves in Abuja. Is this good? We must learn to show support and care for the people especially those that suffered to elect them into office'' the statement added.

The group said it will carry out a research on the impact of the representation which the people of Borno state are giving to their people. The Borno Peoples Movement said considering the sufferings which the people of Borno state has faced over the years as a result of the Boko Haram insurgency, it will be wrong for members who are privileged to treat the people insensitively.

The gale of defections in the National Assembly last week was followed by an advice from no one else than Sen. Abu Ibrahim that the Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki as well as the Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara and others in the fold of the All Progressives Congress APC that are still masquerading in the party should resign their membership of the party.
