As reactions continue to trail the recently held Peoples Democratic
Party PDP ward and local government congress in Kogi state a chieftain of the
Party Chief Bamidele Obiniyi has congratulated the party in the state for
holding a hitch free Congress across the state .
Chief Bamidele Obiniyi in a statement made available to
newsmen said “I wish to Congratulate the Yabga East, Yagba West and Mopa-Muro Chairpersons
in the persons of Olasunmole Fatobi for Mopa-Muro LGA Afolabi Idowu for Yagba
West and and Alhaji Hon. Juril for Yagba East respectively and I also appreciate
the conduct at which the congress was
held. He said that the Congress was held in line with the principles guiding
the party which deserves commendation by well-meaning supporters of the party”.
While specifically hailing the emergence of the party
executives in Mopa-Muro, Yagba East and Yagba West federal constituency in Kogi
state, Bashorun Bamidele Obiniyi urged
the party executives to be good role models of the party. He said ‘’it is
imperative that while the party is doing its best to reposition itself at the
Federal level, Kogi state and the Mopa-Muro/Yagba East / Yagba west Federal
Constituency should not be seen to be lagging behind. “I see quality persons on
board the executives and strongly believe that they can make our great party
proud’’
Bashorun Bamidele Obiniyi who is a strong contender for the
Federal House of Representatives seat of the constituency while addressing the
newsmen also welcomed the decampees from the All Progressives Congress APC to
the PDP describing them as patriots of the state. ‘’considering the level of
maladministration in the state, it surely will take only true patriots like the
decampees from the APC to send a strong message that the people are truly tired of them and
their antics. I commend their spirit and enthusiasm to bring progress to our
dear state which we believe can be achieved’’ he said ”By Gods grace 2019 we
are going to the green chambers to effective qualitative representation for the
betterment of Okun people” he added.
