Friends and Family Felicitates With Oluomo As He Celebrates Birthday

Friends and family of Bashorun Bamidele Obiniyi thronged his Sunnyville estate home to felicitate with him as he added another year to his illustrious life. Naijanewsmaker was at the event which witnessed an array of politicians from Okun land and Kogi state and beyond.

The birthday bash which turned out to be a kind of campaign for Obiniyi’s House of Representatives aspiration was not devoid of solid entertainment the event also brought politicians from all political parties in Yagba Federal constituency eulogizing the virtues of Dele Obiniyi.

Mr. Victor Adekunle David who spoke with Naijanewsmaker described Bamidele Obiniyi as an honest man who has his people at heart. He advised him to use the gift of life which God has given him to continue to better the lives of his people especially his Isanlu clan. Mr.Dayo Kayode another friend of the Obiniyi’s and a clergy said Bashorun is a man who has youth development and community development at the bottom of his heart. He said the virtues of Obiniyi will take him places. When quipped on the aspiration of Obiniyi to join the Green Chambers of the National Assembly, Kayode said “you can’t stop a moving train. Obiniyi is a moving train whose time has come”

Some other persons we spoke with described him as a cheerful personality ‘’there is no dull moment with him’’ a family member said. While another family member described him as a cheerful personality.

“I feel delighted that he has added another year to his life and I thank God and give glory for his life”. These were the words of Chief Mrs. Obiniyi the wife of the celebrant. She described her husband as a kind hearted person who has touched the lives of his people. She thanked the people who graced the event for showing support while stressing that her husband will do well for his people if given the mandate to represent them at the House of Representatives.

On his part, the celebrant who sang and danced vigorously at his birthday bash, glorified God Almighty for giving him the life and favours that has taken him thus far. He confirmed that he is in the race for the House of Representatives and exuded confidence that he will emerge victorious at the end of the day. When asked of the chances of his party in the forthcoming elections considering that they are in the opposition, Bashorun Obiniyi said Yagba Federal Constituency is a PDP constituency and will not be overrun by the APC.

Rivers Governmnet, PDP Disagree Over $280 million Looan

The Rivers State Government and the Peoples Democratic Party in the state are currently at loggerheads over the request by the state Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, for a $280m loan for water and sanitation projects. While the state PDP said that the latest request for loan by the state government was unnecessary due to the resources accruing to the state through the federal allocation and internally generated revenue, the government said it was not true that the funds were to be used for 2015 elections. The state House of Assembly had on Monday endorsed Amaechi’s request for loan for water supply and sanitation projects. 2019: Northern youths kick as Northwest APC lawmakers endorse Buhari

The leadership of the Arewa Youth Forum on Monday said President Muhammadu Buhari does not deserve any endorsement for the 2019 presidency. Reacting to a purported endorsement by some serving All Progressives Congress’s lawmakers from the Northwest in Kaduna, the AYF’s National President, Alhaji Gambo Gujungu, said Buhari was not fit to return as president in 2019.
