Niger Delta Group Describes Coalition Against Buahri As Dead On Arrival... Wants APC Chairman To Revisit Rivers Congresses

The Niger Delta Progressives Group (NDPG) has described the Coalition Of United Political Parties (CUPP) that was recently formed by over 30 political as a venture that will fail. The group in a press statement in reaction to the formation of the coalition said Nigerians will not go back to their regurgitation. It described those behind the coalition as failed politicians who actively took part in the heist that befell the country in the last 16 years of misrule.

The statement which was signed by the National Publicity secretary of the group Comrade Benjamin Etuk urged Nigerians to be calm and not be fooled by desperate politicians that mean bad for the country. ''President Buhari is doing great to make this country better after the rot that the PDP brought to governance. It is a shame that after apologising to Nigerians for the crime they committed against the country they want to come back to power through the back door by forming a coalition of strange bed fellows. Nigerians are wiser and know that the proponents of the coalition are the ones that brought untold sufferings to Nigerians''

The group said the people of the Niger Delta region who suffered so much venality even with their son as President are happy with the way and manner the President has addressed the issues of governance in the country. The group said it will support the President to enable him win the 2019 elections and disgrace the evil politicians fighting him. They are fighting the President for their selfish aim and not for the good of the country.

The group urged President Buhari to remain steadfast and focus on moving the country forward. ''No amount of distraction from the coalition of political prostitutes should make our President lose focus in his bid to move the country forward. he has the support of the generality of the country and this support is evident in the rising support he is gathering every passing day. No matter how those behind the plot to remove the President may think they are, they will surely be defeated by the popular will of the Nigerian masses'' the group said.

The Niger Delta Progressives Group also called on the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress to ensure that the party is made stronger in the South South through the application of the principle of justice and respect for rule of law. It said the chances of victory for the party will be made stronger when impunity is totally expunged by the party. It called on the party to respect the judgment of the court in Port Harcourt which nullified the ward and local government congresses in Rivers State. ''what happened in Rivers state should not be allowed to stand if we really believe in democracy. Comrade Oshiomhole should please do something about it. We have confidence that both Mr. President and Comrade Adams will not allow the impunity that was witnessed at the ward and LGA congresses to stand'' it said.
