APC Guber Primaries: Legislative Writers Forum Congratulates Sen. Owan…Wants Cross Riverians To Vote For Him
As the All Progressives Congress APC
declared Sen. John Owan Enoh as its flag bearer for next
year’s governorship elections, the Legislative Writers Forum has congratulated
the Senator on his victory at the party’s primaries. The group described the
emergence of Sen. Owan as good for democracy and a turning point for the party
in the state.
National President of the group
Austin Asadu said the legislative writers across the country have always
insisted that credible candidates should emerge as candidates of political
party. The statement described Sen. Owan as a very credible candidate with the
requisite political experience that is needed to turn Cross River State around.
The forum urged the people of the
state to ensure that they vote Owan as their next governor in order to bring
the state to mainstream politics in the country. “It is disheartening that
despite the potentials of a state like Cross River, it has not been able to
transform such potentials to better use especially in the past three and half
years. It is heartwarming that the APC have decided to bring in someone with experience
and connections that can better the lot of the state like Sen. John Owan Enoh.
We at the legislative Writers Forum has mandated our members especially those
in Cross River state to join forces with him in order to bring good governance
to the people of the state come 2019” the statement added.
The forum also commended the National
Working Committee of the APC for doing the needful by ensuring the emergence of
the chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance. ‘’We commend the leadership of
the party especially the NWC for ensuring that a credible personality in the
person of Sen. John Owan Enoh is flying the flag of the party. It shows its
seriousness to effect leadership change in the state which is what the people
are yearning for and it is our belief that he will emerge victorious at the end
of the day’’ the statement concluded.
