2018 APC PRIMARIES: CIVIL SOCIETY COALITION OF NIGERIA (CSCON) UNANIMOUSLY CONGRATULATES DISTIGUISHED SENATOR ROBERT AJAYI BORROFICE FOR ONDO NORTH APC SENATORIAL PRIMARIES VICTORY




A coalition of civil society groups, non-governmental organizations, public
policy think tanks, professional associations and social affairs commentators have overwhelmingly congratulated Distinguished Senator Robert Ajayi Borrifice for his outstanding victory in the 2018 All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries and by the special grace of Almighty God in the 2019 general elections on account of his 'outstanding performance, unparalleled legislative acumen, unassailable technocratic competence and unrivaled advocacy for the inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness of his, Ondo North Senatorial Zone constituents, Ondonians and Nigerians in general’.

The Coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSCON) comprising of the
Citizens for Accountable Government, People United to Save Humanity,
Transparent Governance Initiative, Coalition Against Corrupt Practices, Ondo Peace Coalition, Democracy Now Agenda, Ondo Youth Initiative, Ondo Market Women’s Union, Ondo Professionals Agenda, Ondo Progressive Association, Ondo Peoples Forum, Citizens for a Democratic Society, Gender Rights Initiative amongst others declared that Senator Ajayi Borrofice is ‘the right leader to be re-nominated and re-elected as a Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Ondo North Senatorial Zone in the forthcoming 9” National Assembly as he has delivered crucial dividends of democracy to his beloved people in the critical arenas of health, education, roads, power, rural infrastructure, agriculture, water borehole, manpower development and women and youth empowerment during his precedent shattering tenure in the 8th Senate (2015 - 2019).

A forward looking, resolute and highly motivated Senator Ajayi Borrofice   sponsored a record number of bills and motions which addressed key concerns of his people and also played a crucial role in raising their socio-economic indices to record heights. Senator Ajayi Borrofice also attracted numerous federally funded SDGs projects to his constituency and crucially kickstarted fastrack economic growth, infrastructural development and  the budding industrial revolution of sorts to his Senatorial Zone and Ondo State as a whole. As the 2019 general elections draws nearer, we of the CSCON fervently believe that Senator Ajayi Borrofice   stands heads and shoulders above his largely inexperienced motley of opponents for the highly challenging seat and when he emerges victorious will genuinely champion the interests, welfare and  well being of the stoic and hard working people of Ondo North Senatorial Zone thus ensuring fast track infrastructural development, economic growth and a record breaking industrial revolution in Ondo North and Ondo State on a scale unprecedented in our nascent democratic dispensation' - the CSCON communiqué signed by Comrade Deji Bankole concluded.

A frontline politician in Rivers State Chief Chukwuma Chinwa Oikrie has commended the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers state under the leadership of Bro.
