“You Are A Disgrace to Rivers People” Group To Rotimi Amaechi

The Niger Delta Renaissance Organisation has labeled Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State a big disgrace to the people of Niger Delta and Rivers state in particular. The group through a press statement signed by its National Coordinator Comrade Nwokoma messiah said the governor of Rivers state has exposed the state and its people to public ridicule through his conducts and statements. The group also warned the governor not to sell
The group said it was lamentable that Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state used Rivers money to bring in foreigners to the state to attend his 7 years anniversary. The group said the Rivers state governor should tell Rivers people which known Rivers elders, women or youths that attended his so called rally. The NDRO accused the governor and the All Progressive Congress APC of hiring street urchins from the state and neighbouring states to make up the crowd. “We are very much aware of the crowd hiring syndicate set up by the governor to deceive the world that he is popular we will sdoon expose him for the world to know who he is” the group said
The group also told Governor Amaechi that he as a leader should understand that it is a civic duty and responsibility for all Nigerians including him to respect the office of the President. It said it was irresponsible for him to always insult President Goodluck Jonathan at the slightest opportunity. The group urged the governor to borrow a leaf from other speakers at the event who came and spoke without abusing the President. “The attitude of Governor Rotimi Amaechi to always rain abuse on the President is irresponsible. He must understand that if he intends to vie for any office he does not need to gain popularity by abusing Mr. President. As far as we are concerned such conduct is disgraceful as it is irresponsible” the group said.
The NDRO said it is supporting President Jonathan for second term due to what he has achieved in the last four years. It warned Rivers people to beware of the APC which it said has nothing to offer the state. “The fact that Rivers people were conspicuously absent at Amaechi’s rally should be an eye opener to Rivers people on what to expect if they allow the APC to win the next election in the state.” the NDRO warned.

DEFECTIONS: Why Saraki, Dogara Others Must Heed Sen. Ibrahim's Call by Comrade Nwokoma Ndubuisi M.

The gale of defections in the National Assembly last week was followed by an advice from no one else than Sen. Abu Ibrahim that the Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki as well as the Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara and others in the fold of the All Progressives Congress APC that are still masquerading in the party should resign their membership of the party. This call which also implies that they resign their positions as leaders of the various arms of the National Assembly is yet to be complied with by those concerned as at the time of writing this piece Whatever their reasons for still staying put in the party may be, the fact of the matter is that their continued stay in the party has become a sore which must be extricated from the body.  As I watched through the proceedings of the defections on national television, I wept for the country for producing such leaders that lack morality despite all the party has given them politically which they ordin...
