Nyesom Wike, 6 Others, Resign.

The Minister of state for education Barr. Nyesom Wike has resigned as a federal minister. Barr. Wike is known to be nursing a gubernatorial position in Rivers state. Six other ministers resigned their positions to aspire for political positions. Those who resigned today, are Labaran Maku who was the Minister of Information, Darius Ishaku Former Minister of state Niger Delta Affairs, Samuel Ortom( Minister of state Trade and Investments) Onyebuchi Chukwu (Health), Musililu Obanikor (Minister of State Defence) and Emeka Wogu (Labour)

It will be recalled that the ambition of Wike to govern the state has received serious knocks but he is adamant to contest.

The National Chairman of the party recently visited Rivers state where according to LEADERSHIP NEWSPAPERS, he was tactically supported to contest the governorship seat of the party.
Some aspirants under the PDP have described it as a welcome development.
