Before We Crucify Usman Yusuf NHIS BOSS

The purported suspension of Mr. Usman Yusuf the Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme by the Governiing Council of the scheme has raised a lot of dusts especially considering his refusal to yield to the decision of the Council citing the lack of constitutional rights by the Council to send him on suspension. Since the emergence of the present Executive Secretary and the way and manner he has run the Scheme over the past three years he has been there as its head, it is not unexpected to witness the kind of gang up and blackmail he has received. What seems to bother most of us who are watchers of the happenings at the National Health Insurance Scheme NHIS is why the Governing Council of the Scheme will decide to fall to the whims and caprices of enemies of the Scheme and allow itself to be used as a destabilising force against Usman Yusuf. The decision of the Labour Union to join the charade that is going on against the Executive Secretary aside...

SUPREME COURT RULING: At Last We have Been Vindicated

When in the early hours of Saturday the 20th of October we the avid supporters of Sen. Magnus Ngei Abe began to read false posts on various platforms of  the Nigerian social media that he has dumped the All Progressives Congress APC for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, most of us who know him very well became aware that the posts will not be unconnected with the devious plots of the faction opposed to his emergence as the bonafide flag bearer of the party in the state for the forthcoming governorship election slated for March next year to paint him in bad especially within the National Working Committee of the party in Abuja. This is not the first time they have resorted to such desperation to taint the loyal member of our great party in bad light so as to use such cheap blackmail to make their case against the fearless Ogoni born Senator. The blackmail was quickly nipped in the bud not with the reaction from the Senator through his media aide Mr. Parry Benson who d...

Ekiti: Muslim group identifies one major error by Fayemi after first day in office

The Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, has frowned at the first appointments made by the newly inaugurated Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi. Fayemi had on Tuesday evening, named Abiodun Oyebanji as Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Biodun Omoleye as Chief of Staff, COS, and Yinka Oyebode as Chief Press Secretary, CPS. Meanwhile, MURIC has congratulated Fayemi on his well deserved electoral victory and prayed that his tenure would bring peace and progress to the good people of the state. In a statement signed by the Director of MURIC, Professor Ishaq Akintola, and forwarded to DAILY POST, the group wondered why no single Muslim was among the first three appointments since both the governor and his deputy are Christians. “It is a dangerous signal considering what Muslims in the state went through under the dictator and totalitarian ruler, Ayodele Fayose who is currently rehearsing his incarceration songs in EFCC cell in Abuja. “In flagrant demonstrati...

Plateau 2019 Guber: John Pofi The Right Man For The Job

With the conclusion of the party governorship primaries across the country and the emergence of candidates for the position of governor from all the political parties, one state that will attract interest of Nigerians is no other   than Plateau state where a lot have happened over the past years that have triggered the need for a paradigm shift in governance of the state. The violence that has engulfed this once peaceful, bubbling and melting pot state of the federation in the recent past has not sold the state well considering that it is the state with a huge potential for tourism development in the country. Since 1999 till date, two parties have ruled the state and has not done well to better the lots of the people of the state in general. This is because of the lack of a clear cut vision to make the state better. This scenario has been made worse in the past three and half years where a most ineffective and inefficient government has held sway in the state leading to ...
