PDP National Convention: ''Any Attempt To Endorse Secondus By House of Reps PDP Caucus Will Not Stand''- Rep Members

A member of the House of Representatives who craved anonymity said any attempt by the House of Representatives Caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP to endorse any of the candidates for the Chairmanship position of the party will not stand. The PDP holds its national convention on the 9th of December 2017.

The members who spoke to Naijanewsmaker accused one of the Chairmanship candidates Chief Uche Secondus who was among the candidates that appeared before the House of Reps Caucus of the PDP of being the brain behind the money that was distributed to members of the House Caucus a day after he appeared before the caucus.

''It is sad that the tendencies that led to our party losing the last elections is trying to play out through attempts to lure lawmakers through pecuniary incentives. The plan to endorse a candidate for the Chairmanship position of the party by the Caucus is premised on the huge amount that was given to members last week by Uche Secondus who clearly promised to reach the Deputy minority  leader of the House Hon. Chukwuma Onyema. Hon. Kingsley Chinda supervised the distribution of the money which was done at the office of the minority leader last week Thursday'' the lawmaker told Naijanewsmaker.

When asked if he shared money to candidates, Uche Secondus denied ever sharing money. He demanded that anybody who said he shared money to members of the House of Representatives caucus should come out with proof. But his position was countered by another member of the House who said his name should not be mentioned. He queried the source of the money that was distributed to members of the

House caucus at the office of the Deputy minority leader a day after Uche Secondus addressed members of the House of reps PDP Caucus''. As far as I know, members of the House are not paid their allowances through the deputy minority leader so whose money were they sharing at Hon. Onyema's office and what was the personal assistant to Uche Secondus doing with the deputy minority leader at his office?''  he queried.
