The member representing Ovia Federal Constituency Edo state
Hon. Omosede G. Igbenedion yesterday visited the Honourable Minister of Works,
Power and Housing Babatunde Raji Fashola over the construction of Ogbese Bridge,
pedestrian bridge and speed breakers at the Benin- Lagos Express way and other
issues.
The Federal lawmaker made this known in her social media page
where she posted a picture of herself and the former governor of Lagos state.
The member representing Ovia Federal Constituency who looked
obviously tired as a result of the day’s work posted “Yaaaahy just finished
with The Honorable Minister for Works, Power and Housing. It looks like we are
steps closer to Ogbese Bridge being completed. He ( Fashola) informed me that
utmost on their priority is that already existing projects be completed, of
course the Ogbese Bridge has been 75% completed, so why not finish it off? Let's
keep our fingers crossed and pray it is completed this year. Secondly I made
mention of the Pedestrian Bridge on the Benin/Lagos Expressway. Last but not
least was the need to restore light to Uhen. God bless you all for your support
and encouragement.”
It should be noted that Hon. Omosede Igbenedion a first
termer in the House and member of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP had last
year raised motions on the flood that devastated parts of her constituency. She
had also raised the issue of constructing pedestrian bridge as well as speed breakers
after an undergraduate student lost her life as a result of the over speeding
of motorists on the road.
The National Emergency Management Agency NEMA had last year
made available relief materials to members of her constituency affected by the flooding
which she personally distributed during yuletide.
