Sen. Omo-Agege a Disgrace To Niger Delta People – NDRO

The Niger Delta Renaissance Organisation NDRO has described the Senator representing Delta South as a disgrace to the people of the Niger Delta region. The group in a press statement signed by its National Coordinator Comrade Nwokoma Messiah said the conduct of the Senator on Wednesday 18th of April is condemnable.
Recall that the Senator was alleged to have invaded the red chambers of the National Assembly with thugs who carted away the mace of the Senate. The action has continued to elicit condemnations all over the country with the NDRO joining the fray.

“The Niger Delta Renaissance Organisation NDRO wish to condemn the resort to self-help which the  Senator from Delta State attempted to do at the Senate by bringing in hoodlums to cart away the mace which is the symbol of the authourity of the legislature. We are calling on the relevant security apparatus to investigate those behind this irresponsible act and bring them to justice though we doubt the commitment of this federal Government led by dictator Buhari to prosecute the secretary of the Parliamentary Support Group”.

The statement urged members of the Senate not to relent in their efforts to release the country from the shackles of dictatorship and enslavement which the APC led Federal Government wants to plunge the country to.

The NDRO while urging the Senate not to be threatened by the antics of the enemies of democracy, wondered how a group of 18 thugs could invade the National Assembly to carry the mace of the Senate describing it as a threat to the lives of members of the parliament. “It is unfortunate that Niger Delta youths can allow themselves to be used to carry out the dirty jobs of inordinate politicians. This is how Henry Okah and co carried out a stupid bombing in Abuja on Independence Day in 2010. The country is trying to come out of what they started and now some irresponsible youths want to threaten democracy by snatching the mace. Who knows what their actions will lead to tomorrow especially with the spread of insecurity in the country which the clueless administration at the Federal level has failed to address’’ the statement concluded.

DEFECTIONS: Why Saraki, Dogara Others Must Heed Sen. Ibrahim's Call by Comrade Nwokoma Ndubuisi M.

The gale of defections in the National Assembly last week was followed by an advice from no one else than Sen. Abu Ibrahim that the Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki as well as the Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara and others in the fold of the All Progressives Congress APC that are still masquerading in the party should resign their membership of the party. This call which also implies that they resign their positions as leaders of the various arms of the National Assembly is yet to be complied with by those concerned as at the time of writing this piece Whatever their reasons for still staying put in the party may be, the fact of the matter is that their continued stay in the party has become a sore which must be extricated from the body.  As I watched through the proceedings of the defections on national television, I wept for the country for producing such leaders that lack morality despite all the party has given them politically which they ordin...
