2019: Ohaji Youths Back Prince Lemachi



Youths under the Ohaji Youths Political Movement have backed Prince Steven Lemachi to represent them at the Ohaji/ Egbema State House of Assembly come 2019. The group said there call was based on the need to have quality representation at the State House of Assembly.

The leader of the group Comrade Anthony Eze told Naijanewsmaker at Awara in Ohaji/Egbema local government during a political gathering aimed at drumming up support for Prince Lemachi. He said ‘’it is expedient that the people of Ohaji get the ticket to represent the constituency come 2019. The people have cooperated with all the political leaders that have represented our area. It is high time we compensate the people of Awara by giving them the position of a member that will represent them at the legislative arm in the state and also bring qualitative and sustainable development to the people of the constituency’’.

Comrade Anthony lauded Prince Steven Lemachi for being a proactive grassroots mobiliser who can make a difference at the State House of Assembly. ‘’Prince Lemachi aside being a vibrant youth, has the qualities to galvanise the youths towards positivity. He also has the connections and wherewithal to drag good things to his people’’. Comrade Anthony Eze was quoted as saying.

Miss Gloria Osa a native of Awara town was also quoted as saying that the woman are prepared to pour their support for Prince Lemachi. She said their support will help him win the elections when the time comes. She praised Prince Lemachi’s commitment to the welfare of his people. ‘As it stands today, he takes care of most of us. What he does cannot be equated even by our votes” she said.

A former leader of one of the wards in the local government who craved anonymity said the people have resolved to vote for the best candidate not minding party inclinations. He said relying on the major parties to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people have sometimes become a herculean task. ‘’What we need is the best person that can deliver the goods and from what I am seeing, Prince Steven Lemachi has all the capabilities to make a difference’’. He said.

Rivers Governmnet, PDP Disagree Over $280 million Looan

The Rivers State Government and the Peoples Democratic Party in the state are currently at loggerheads over the request by the state Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, for a $280m loan for water and sanitation projects.
