The Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, Bro. Felix Obuah has called on the National Orientation Agency, NOA, to close ranks with the Agency against indiscriminate dumping of waste on the median, roads, streets and other unauthorized places in Port Harcourt, the State capital and its environs.
Bro. Felix Obuah who spoke when the National Orientation Agency, led by the Rivers State Director, Mr. Oliver Wolugbom, paid him a courtesy call in his office in Port Harcourt, observed that there has been no successful programme of government without the support and active participation of the National Orientation Agency.
He explained that lack of proper enlightenment, awareness and education were the bane behind the indiscriminate dumping of refuse at unauthorized places by residents and waste management services.
“The Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency urged the National Orientation Agency, NOA, to add a voice by helping the Agency to inform, enlighten and educate the people on the need to keep Port Harcourt, the State Capital and its environs clean.
The solution is not to listen to me or the wonderful speech delivered by the State Director, Mr Wolugbom, it is all about action. The reason perhaps, why people are not able to stop dumping refuse in unauthorized places is because the NOA has refused to join hands with the Agency to act accordingly", he said.

Bro Obuah further charged the National Orientation Agency to rise up to their civic responsibilities against illegal dumping of waste and close ranks with the RIWAMA to educate and inform the people on the need to properly dispose waste at approved receptacles.
On his part, the State Director of the National Orientation Agency, Mr. Oliver Wolugbom, commended the Sole Administrator, Bro. Felix Obuah, for ensuring that in just one month in office, Port Harcourt and its environs have started wearing a clean look ,devoid of huge waste witnessed before the present administration of Governor Nyesom Wike took over, and assured of the willingness of NOA to partner with the Rivers State  Waste Management Agency in the restoration of a clean and healthy State and making Port Harcourt regains its Garden City status.

DEFECTIONS: Why Saraki, Dogara Others Must Heed Sen. Ibrahim's Call by Comrade Nwokoma Ndubuisi M.

The gale of defections in the National Assembly last week was followed by an advice from no one else than Sen. Abu Ibrahim that the Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki as well as the Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara and others in the fold of the All Progressives Congress APC that are still masquerading in the party should resign their membership of the party. This call which also implies that they resign their positions as leaders of the various arms of the National Assembly is yet to be complied with by those concerned as at the time of writing this piece Whatever their reasons for still staying put in the party may be, the fact of the matter is that their continued stay in the party has become a sore which must be extricated from the body.  As I watched through the proceedings of the defections on national television, I wept for the country for producing such leaders that lack morality despite all the party has given them politically which they ordin...
