APW Condemns Fake News Against Hon. Modibbo

The association of Parliamentary Writers APW has condemn fake news against the person of Hon. Abdulrauf Modibbo over the fact that his certificate of Return has been withdrawn from him. Hon Abdulrauf Modibbo represents the people of Yola North/ Yola South / Girei in the Green Chambers.

The group in a press statement signed by Mr. Chris Davidson its Director of Media said resorting to fake news is the height of irresponsibility by any politician or his followers. The statement said the resort to fake news is an attempt to distract the politician from concentrating in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency.

The association said as a group of writers that report parliamentary matters in all the legislative houses across the country, it will not fail to sanction anty reporter that publishes fake news that has not been verified.

It called on the law maker to concentrate in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency stressing that such should be his priority in the green chambers.

Recall that Hon. Modibbo won the House of Representatives primaries for the constituency but his victory has been challenged at the High Court by Mustapha Bashiru Usman .
