John Idumange: Patriot Or Rabble-rouser? by Eddie Tekenah

I have noted with dismay the attitude of Mr. John Idumange a political harlot and blackmailer of repute. This man who used to be a die hard supporter of ex governor Timipre Sylva has perpetually attacked distinguished personalities from Bayelsa state who he cannot match in terms of achievements or clout. This man who claims to be fighting the cause of the people of the state has poured venom on members of the opposition and his tantrums which in most cases is motivated by hate sentiment  and greed, has continued to deceive gullible persons.

Mr. Idumange gives the impression of being an activist and patriot interested in the betterment of the people of Bayelsa state. He has persistently attacked the person of Mr. Timi Sylva the leader of the All Progressives Congress in the state despite the well-known fact that he was usually on his knees begging the ex-governor for assistance.

I have also witnessed in recent times that this same man has started another round of attack against other personalities especially from the ranks of the fledging All Progressives Congress APC. I understand that politics is a game that is played for victory by employing any means necessary. I also understand that Mr. Idumange who heads the Bayelsa NEW Media Team is keen to protect his job and justify the huge amount of money he is collecting for his nefarious activities but what I fail to understand is his penchant to use his outreach to deceive the people of Bayelsa state by looking like a saint which he is not.

I recall that this same man who used to be an apostle of ex governor Timi Sylve decided to change his stance on the governor due to the fact that the former refused to do his bidding. There are allegations also that this same man had demanded twenty million from the former governor to keep his mouth shut. So the question is in whose interest is John Idumange fighting for? Is it for his selfish interest or for the people of Bayelsaa state?

The truth is that Mr. Idumange is a rabble rouser who basks in the euphoria of tarnishing the hard earned reputation of well-meaning citizens in order to gain attention. He is not what he claims to be. He is an ingrate who will not waste any moment to bring down persons whom he has also benefited from.

I recall his days in The NDDC as a staff and his perpetual absence from duties which led to his sack. It is not a surprise that he has also decided to attack the same man who sacked him for his laxity at work. He has also not told Bayelsans that he was sacked as a result of his noncommittal to work but has continued to attack the person who did the right thing by removing him from the Commission. Is Idumange for the people? Does he want their progress? Will he make a better leader? I really do not think so. What he stands for is for his personal benefit and not for the people whom he claims to be working for. He goes about looking for people who he will blackmail in order to gat pecuniary benefit and also to make his pay master think he is working for hard. This is absurd and shows the desperation of someone with a mind to create mischief.

A person like John Idumnge does not deserve attention and must be exposed for the liar and blackmailer he is. The Bayelsa governorship elections and the whole politicking that will come with it has started and it will not be a surprise to see him coming out to attack persons who he cannot match in terms of achievements or credibility. Bayelsans must beware of him and regard him for what he is. Liars are evil and Idumange who is an exposed liar and blackmail expert must be discarded. He has no love for Bayelsa people. All he wants is to enrich himself by bringing down persons. This is not what we want.

I recall the shameful conversation he had with an aide of the former governor of the state where he had requested for the sum of twenty million naira in order not to criticize the Sylva whom he was ass licking before. Does this show the character of credible person? I really do not think so and Bayelsans don’t also think so.

As we head to the governorship election we must understand that Mr. Idumange and all he stands for including his support for the non performing Governor Seriake Dickson is a complete fraud which must not be allowed to stand. Reelecting such elements to power for a second term will definitely not do the state any good. They are wasted persons that must be confined to the political dust bin.
