Igala Progressive Solidarity Front Urge Atawodi To Run For Governorship




The Kogi Progressive Solidarity Front a socio cultural group that promotes the cause of Kogi state in has urged retired Air Vice Marshall Saliu Atawodi to run for the Kogi state governorship elections. The group in a press statement made available to newsmen and signed by its President Eng. Adah Abubakar Shaibu said it is imperative that Kogi state should produce a very credible and visionary leadership to address the mess perpetrated by successive administrations in the state since its creation.
The group said it had made an extensive search of potential occupants for the Kogi state government house and discovered that there is no one with better pedigree for the office than the retired Air Vice Marshall. The statement said it is imperative that Kogi state witness an efficient personality with the capacity to reposition the state for greatness. “ Salihu Atawodi has all it takes to govern our dear state and bring smiles to the people. He has the fatherly attributes also which is important to lead a state like Kogi” the statement added.
It said it will muster all the support it can to ensure the victory of Salihu Atawodi while also synergizing with other likeminded socio cultural groups and organisations across Kogi land to ensure that their objective of seeing AVM Atawodi as governor is achieved. “We are willing to join forces with all Kogi people to ensure that the retrogressive manner the state has been run in the past is reversed for the benefit of the generality of our people. To achieve this we must also always pray for our leader” the group said.
