Edo 2024: "Why We Are Backing Umakhihe" - South South APC Group

A political group known as the South South Youth Coalition For APC SSYC4A has declared that it will be backing Mr. Ernest Umakhihe emerge as governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in the forthcoming Edo governorship primaries of the party.

The group said Umakhihe who just retired from the Ministry of Agriculture is one aspirant with the required experience and political sagacity to emerge as candidate and consequently take away power from the ruling inept PDP led administration in the state.

The group in a press Statement made available to newsmen by the National Coordinator of the group Amb. Nwokoma Messiah and Anderson Ikhagu the Edo State coordinator of the group said it has begun reaching out to the APC leadership to ensure that the ambition of Dr Umakhihe to emerge Governorship candidate of the party succeeds.

"We were in Port Harcourt during the weekend where we made our position known to the Vice Chairman of the APC Chief Victor Giadom during his meeting with Barr. Nyesom Wike. He has assured that the party will do a thorough job in selecting the best candidate for the job and that candidate is none other than Ernest Umakhihe " the statement said.
