UN@75: Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere Flags off Online Conversation

As the United Nations gears up activities to celebrate it's 75 years of existence, prominent clergy and philanthropist Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere who is the General Overseer of the Omega Power Ministries OPM has flagged of the UN@75 online conversation which is aimed at synergising more than 10 million voices on the  FUTURE WE WANT AND THE UNITED NATIONS WE NEED dialogue.

The popular clergy man kick-started the project when members of the International Association of World Peace Advocates IAWPA presented the UN-V Customised number plate to him at his residence in Port Harcourt.

In a press statement made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt, the International Spokesman of the association Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke said the decision to accord the OPM General Overseer the opportunity to kickstart the online conversation is as a result of his untiring efforts aimed at alleviating the sufferings of mankind which is a cardinal objective of the United Nations.

Amb .Nkweke also stated that his association has already nominated Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere as a recipient of the United Nations Humanitarian award later this year which is expected to hold at the UNIVERSITY OF headquarters in New York.  He said the presentation of the number plate will ensure that the highly respected man of God will be counted among distinguished members of the United Nations Volunteer pool with attendant benefits while stressing that with such status, his efforts in education, health, empowerment and promotion of security as well as good governance will receive the much needed international attention especially from the global body.

The statement urged other clergy men to emulate the good works of  Apostle Chinyere   especially in the areas if education and health. He also urged Nigerian youths and members ofothe OPM family to seize the opportunity of the online conversation and grab the opportunities available at the global body so as to ensure that the country does not trail behind other African countries. The association thanked the G O of the Omega Power Ministries OPM for accepting to kickstart the UN@75 online conversation which it says will position the ministry as well as it's members the opportunity of being progressive partners with the United Nations and it's sister agencies.

Rivers Governmnet, PDP Disagree Over $280 million Looan

The Rivers State Government and the Peoples Democratic Party in the state are currently at loggerheads over the request by the state Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, for a $280m loan for water and sanitation projects.
