Support John Dyegh For Speaker of 9th National Assembly - Christian Youths

The Christian Youth Network of Nigeria has called on the incoming members of the 9th National Assembly to support the aspiration of Rt. Hon John Dyegh for Speaker of the incoming House of Representatives .The Christian Youth group also urged both majority parties in the National Assembly to be sensitive to the nation's religious divide in order not to send wrong signals.

The Network in a press statement signed by it's National President Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke  and Comrade Nwokoma Messiah Director of Media an publicity after it's National Convention in Yenagoa the Bayelsa state capital said "the country is passing through very trying times and it is imperative that politicians in the country learn to manage the precarious situation with wisdom and patriotism hence the need to support a Christian as Speaker of the House of Representatives come June 11 2019.

The group said at this point of our National life, it is imperative that the incoming members of the green Chambers bring patriotism, wisdom and pragmatism to bear in the choice of Speaker of the House of Representatives. The statement described John Dyegh as a team player who will not court crisis or scandal if elected Speaker of the House. It described Dyegh as a true patriotic Nigerian with friendship across the length and breadth of the country. "You can see the number of Youths in this convention that are rooting for him. It shows his level of acceptability across board and this will be reflected in his leadership of the green Chambers". The statement added.

Recall that John Dyegh is one of the leading candidate for the position of Speaker of the 9th National Assembly. This endorsement by Christian groups under the aegis of Christian Youth Network follows other endorsements especially the most recent one by elected parliamentarians from his home state of Benue.
