Tributes for late Pa Ifeanyi Ogbu

TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED FATHER IN LAW
That you are no more around to do the things you always do has made me understand how cruel life can be. You are such a wonderful motivator, confidant and a true believer in our great redeemer and saviour.
Since I came in contact with you I have never failed to appreciate how kind and magnanimous you can be towards we your children and others you came in contact with. The truth is that a lot of people will miss you and your grandchildren which God Almighty gave me will miss your loving presence the most.
They cry every time they watch your pictures missing your regular calls and always wishing you did not leave them so soon but your maker whom you have gone to see knows why he called you in such early period in life. We all remain consoled of the fact that you lived a good life and fought a good fight.
May you sail to eternity until we meet again at the feet of the Lord.

TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED GRAND DADDY
It came as a huge shock to me when my mum told me on Tuesday the 6th of November that you are no more and I felt like asking God why He will allow death to take you away from us but He is not to be questioned. Sweet and loving grand daddy, who will buy us the things you used to buy? who will take us out for occasions? Who will call us the sweet names you call us? Adieu Papa, we will miss you so much. You are incomparable.
Nwokoma Fortune (Grand Daughter)

TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED GRAND DADDY
It was a shocking news that you left us behind on the 6th of Tuesday, my ears couldn't believe it, sweet and caring dad, who will buy us things you buy for us, who will feed us as you used to do, who will play with us when we are sad, who will take us out as you do, who will call us sweet names, who will care for us as you do? You were such a nice grand daddy who we will always miss. May your soul rest in his eternal bosom till we meet again. Adieu papa.

TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED GRAND DADDY
Shock is an understatement of the way the news of your death came to me on that sad Tuesday evening. I cannot believe you are no more. I wonder who will buy me akara, fried yam and potato as well as sing those famous Ogba songs to console me when I cry. I wonder who will also take us for outings the way you do. I will also miss the sweet names you call us. Stay in peace in the bosom of Abraham grand pa. Adieu
Nwokoma Mary (Grand daughter)

TRIBUTE TO MY LOVING FATHER
I was perplexed, disturbed, destabilised and confused when I received a call on that fateful Tuesday afternoon when I received a call immediately I stepped into my office on leaving the court room that my dear wonderful. humble, caring, loving and sincere father- a father indeed has gone to the world beyond. I asked so many questions how come because I thought it can't be true praying that it is just a fiction.
Who will call me the way you call me everyday the way you do? Who will encourage me the way you do and who will sing the famous Ogba song ''ye mee je uloma?'' Who will care for my children and take them out the way you do or assist me with wise counsel?
You with God on my side made me who I am. No word can express my feelings at this moment. I ask God the question again why should he leave us at this time and He though His word consoled me saying '' My daughter you father slepeth... my daughter death has been defeated...my daughter your father will arise  with the saints when Christ will come back.
My father oh my father, I will forever miss you so much but we shall meet on the resurrection morning. Adiue daddy.

Barr. Mrs. Nwokoma Francisca

DEFECTIONS: Why Saraki, Dogara Others Must Heed Sen. Ibrahim's Call by Comrade Nwokoma Ndubuisi M.

The gale of defections in the National Assembly last week was followed by an advice from no one else than Sen. Abu Ibrahim that the Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki as well as the Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara and others in the fold of the All Progressives Congress APC that are still masquerading in the party should resign their membership of the party. This call which also implies that they resign their positions as leaders of the various arms of the National Assembly is yet to be complied with by those concerned as at the time of writing this piece Whatever their reasons for still staying put in the party may be, the fact of the matter is that their continued stay in the party has become a sore which must be extricated from the body.  As I watched through the proceedings of the defections on national television, I wept for the country for producing such leaders that lack morality despite all the party has given them politically which they ordin...

Rivers Governmnet, PDP Disagree Over $280 million Looan

The Rivers State Government and the Peoples Democratic Party in the state are currently at loggerheads over the request by the state Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, for a $280m loan for water and sanitation projects. While the state PDP said that the latest request for loan by the state government was unnecessary due to the resources accruing to the state through the federal allocation and internally generated revenue, the government said it was not true that the funds were to be used for 2015 elections. The state House of Assembly had on Monday endorsed Amaechi’s request for loan for water supply and sanitation projects. But the state PDP, in a statement, signed by the Special Adviser to its Chairman, Mr. Jerry Needam, said the request for loan was aimed at punishing the governor’s successor in 2015. The party called on members of the House of Assembly, the Federal Ministry of Finance, the African Development Bank and the World Bank not to honour the loan re...
