Sen. Sekibo Hails Uche Secondus Emergence As Party Chairman.

Sen. George Thompson Sekibo has described the emergence of Prince Uche Secondus as Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party as a welcome development which will positively impact on the fortunes of the party come 2019. he described Prince Secondus as a core experienced party man who can help bring good fortunes to the party and the country.

Sen. Sekibo spoke to newsmen at the Eagles square venue of the just concluded Peoples Democratic Party PDP National Convention. He thanked the Convention planning Committee for organising one of the best conventions the party has ever held. According to Sen. Sekibo, ''the party has shown that aside being the largest party in Africa, it is the most democratic party in the continent''.

He urged all those who did not emerge as party leaders to continue to support the party in order to make it stronger so as to remove the All Progressives Congress APC from office come 2019.

en. Sekibo who was removed from the Senate through what many in his Senatorial District have termed a questionable court process said the PDP is the only true democratic party in the country and will get the support of the people to kick out the undemocratic APC from power.

He thanked the delegates that voted at the Convention for being organised while promising that Prince Uche Secondus will make the party proud as Chairman.
