Nigeria’s Chief f Army Staff General Tukur Yusuf Buratai has been earmarked for an International Eminent Peace Award. The award is set to be presented to him in recognition of his contributions to the fight against insurgency in the country by the International Association of World Peace Advocates IAWPA a body registered under the United Nations and also bore its Economic and Social Council ECOSOC Status.   The International spokesman of IAWPA Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke made this known in a press statement made available to news houses. The statement said as much as it recognizes the fact that the insurgency in the north has not been completely eliminated, it is important to appreciate the fact that it has been controlled and limited to only some areas of the country.
