A Coalition of observer groups that observed the February 23rd Presidential and National Assembly elections in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial zone has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to release the results of the National Assembly elections in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial zone without delay. The Coalition in a press statement signed by Comrade Nwokoma Messiah and Peter John said the delay in announcing the results aside being suspicious, can lead to preventable  chaos within the senatorial zone. The observer groups said they witnessed the elections in the zone and stated that it was  generally peaceful. It therefore wondered why the electoral umpire could be delaying the results thereby creating unnecessary anxiety. The Coalition of observer groups accredited in Akwa Ibom State have urged Political Parties in the state not to put undue pressure on the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC. The group said that what the electoral umpire needs now is to be focused to conduct a free, fair and credible election in the state from Saturday the 23 rd of February 2019.
